A chargeback is the return of funds from an outgoing transaction back into a customer's bank account. Chargebacks are raised if a customer disputes a charge included in their transaction history and seek its reversal.
They are the last option to resort to after you have already contacted merchants or other parties involved in the disputed payment.
The possibility to claim a chargeback acts as a form of consumer protection against fraud.
Chargebacks may be granted by banks in exceptional cases such as:
- an incorrect amount charged for a transaction
- unauthorised transactions
- fraudulent activity
Every month we notify you about your new statement of account. If you notice that something in your transaction history that is incorrect, you have six weeks to raise a chargeback dispute.
To claim a chargeback, please contact our Support Team. It may take some months to resolve the disputed transaction depending on the parties involved.
