Two-Factor-Authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security for your Bitwala account. 2FA adds another step of verification in the login process. 2FA is strongly recommended but not mandatory to login. If you do not have it enabled, you can log in without it.
The process involves installing an authenticator app and entering a six-to-eight digit code securely generated by the app. After you entered your login credentials and password, you are asked for a one-time passcode. The correct 2FA one-time pass verifies your access and logs you into the Bitwala account.
You can download an authenticator app from the Play Store or App Store.
Enabling 2FA on your online accounts, including your personal email account is highly recommended. 2FA makes it much tougher for hackers to access to your data. That's why it's considered the best safety precaution for your own privacy and security.
